The ESG Association of Malaysia (ESGAM) has launched ESGAMConnect, an AI-driven digital platform aimed at helping Malaysian businesses, especially small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), accelerate their Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) transformation.

Developed in partnership with iForte Intelligence Sdn Bhd, ESGAMConnect offers an integrated suite of tools that include ESG learning resources, digital self-assessments, sector-specific partner directories, and access to consultants, auditors, and solution providers. It also supports ESG reporting, audit readiness, and connections to accreditation bodies and carbon credit platforms.
One of the platform’s key features is a dedicated hub linking users to green financing and government grants, enabling businesses to tap into new investment opportunities while meeting sustainability goals.
Launched at IBM Malaysia Auditorium, the ceremony was officiated by Minister of Digital, YB Gobind Singh Deo, who underscored the role of technology in sustainability.
“Digital technologies are central to Malaysia’s goal of building a resilient, sustainable economy. By harnessing Artificial Intelligence to simplify ESG processes, ESGAMConnect demonstrates how digitalisation can empower businesses to embed responsible practices and remain competitive in a low-carbon future.”
- Minister of Digital, Yang Berhormat Gobind Singh Deo
ESGAM President Prof. Cheah Kok Hoong described the platform as a “national ecosystem built on intelligence, accessibility and collaboration,” aimed at empowering organisations to embed sustainable practices across operations. He added that the initiative reflects a multi-stakeholder commitment involving government, business, and civil society.
To broaden ESGAMConnect’s reach, ESGAM also signed Memoranda of Understanding with the Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC), PIKOM, the SME Association of Malaysia, and the Malaysian CSO-SDG Alliance. These partnerships will help scale up ESG capacity building nationwide.
By streamlining access to ESG standards and expertise, ESGAMConnect turns regulatory compliance into a strategic advantage for enterprises ready to lead sustainability. The platform is now open for corporate and service provider registration at https://connect.esgmalaysia.org.
