We came across this interesting article that made us ponder the significance of science diplomacy. The article was published by the New Straits Times and written by Tan Sri Zakri Abdul Hamid, the Company Director and Chairman of the Business Council for Sustainable Development (BCSD) Malaysia.
Tan Sri Zakri, also the founding director of the International Institute of Science Diplomacy and Sustainability (IISDS), recently launched the new centre of excellence for IISDS under UCSI University with a vision to position the university as a leader in science diplomacy.
Today, science diplomacy may be less handy in preventing wars between nations. But it may be key to avoiding a war between humans and nature.
