Themed ‘Energy Transition through Sustainability and Technology Approach,’ the training brought together 17 participants from 10 developing countries, focusing on equipping them with comprehensive understanding of sustainable energy technologies and practices.

The training combined theoretical learning with practical exposure, beginning with an intensive two-day overview of the petroleum industry held at INSTEP’s Upstream and Downstream Training Plant (UDTP). This facility provided participants with simulated, real-plant environments under safe, controlled conditions to deepen their understanding of the energy value chain.

Further enriching the experience, participants visited key energy sites including a Grid-Connected Photovoltaic Facility and the Centre for Offshore Renewable Energy (CEFORE). These industrial visits offered insights into Malaysia’s growing renewable energy capacity, reinforcing the essential role of technology in accelerating the energy transition.

The MTCP 2025 at INSTEP not only strengthens bilateral relations with partner countries but also embodies the spirit of sustainable development by promoting the adoption of clean energy technologies and sustainable practices.

As nations worldwide grapple with climate challenges, initiatives such as this training become instrumental in building capacity and fostering sustainable growth.
