This new social initiative encourages members of the public to become friends of the Belum-Temengor rainforest community. BFFs can help by contributing a small donation to support either a tree-planting programme managed by the Pulau Banding Foundation (PBF), or a school uniform donation drive for the Orang Asli of Belum-Temengor, facilitated by the Emkay Foundation.

TREE
PLANTING
Plant an agarwood (gaharu) tree. The agarwood is a highly endangered tree native to the Belum-Temengor Rainforest Complex. Your contribution will be used by the Pulau Banding Foundation an agarwood sapling on Pulau Banding’s arboretum. This collection will allow the agarwood tree to be preserved for future rehabilitation in the wild.

SPONSORSHIP
Sponsor a set of school uniforms for an Orang Asli child. Many Orang Asli children do not have the opportunity to finish their primary and secondary education. Your contribution will be used by Yayasan Emkay to sponsor a school uniform for an Orang Asli child that needs it. The uniform itself will be handmade by the Orang Asli, thus ensuring that it fits perfectly while being long-lasting.
